Side 1 - Christmas Bop

Side 2a - Metal Guru
Side 2b - Telegram Sam

Produced by Marc Bolan

:Note:
Not released or even pressed, it was withdrawn after suggestions that
Marc could be accused of plagiarism (the company (EMI) was mindful
of the problems George Harrison had experienced with 'My Sweet
Lord' and its similarity to Ronnie Mack's He's So Fine). However two
sets of original labels are circulating    (see both sets opposite).

The top set of labels sold at auction on 16th November 2004 for £896.00
(please remember this was just the two circles of paper, no vinyl.)

These 5th and 6th pictures are of the single that was released after
Marc's death.
Also Metal Guru and Telegram Sam have changed
position in the running order of side 2. A copy of the single did
however sell for
£620.00 on Ebay a few days before Christmas
2005 (roughly 30 years to the day of it's expected release date)

Another copy of this later single was recently on Ebay (starting
price of £49.99) but has only 1 bidder with 6 days to go.
It eventually sold for £280 with 27 bidders.

It would seem the world is full of gullible people, another copy of the
"repress" just (27-Nov-2015) sold on Ebay for £455.99 (approx $685.44)

The promo of this single has a "purchase tax code" embossed in the pushout
centre. The tax code is "MT" from the first 6 months of 1963. I believe all the
"promo's" of London Boys had this tax code embedded. This is the first UK
single of Marc's since January 1969's Pewter Suitor to have a tax code
embossed. No other Bolan/T. Rex singles after Pewter Suitor are embossed.

This copy is missing its Mothers and Stampers so there
is a small possibility that it was produced in Ireland.

Side 1 - Dandy In The Underworld

Side 2a - Groove A Little
Side 2b - Tame My Tiger

Produced by Marc Bolan
Recorded in London.

Highest UK chart position: did not chart :(

This single version of Dandy... differs from the album version in that Marc
completely re-recorded the vocals and changed the word "cocaine" for
"T. Rex". So the new lyrics go:- "Exalted companion of T. Rex nights".
The track was either remixed to bring out the backing vocals and other
instruments or completely re-recorded.

Side 2 of the solid centred edition is pock-marked which might indicate an
Irish production if it wasn't for the Bolan stamp which is rarely seen on Irish
pressings.
